  Composer, clarinetist and bandleader Rebecca Trescher is certainly one of the most active visionaries on the German jazz scene. With the release of PARIS ZYKLUS, already her fourth album for large ensemble, she presents her work of the two last years. During her residency at the Cité internationale des arts de Paris she composed the 4 part Paris Zyklus – The Spirit of the Streets. She walked a lot through the city and was inspired of the vibe and the spirit of the streets.
  
  With the very unique instrumentation of trumpet, saxophones, clarinets, cello, vibraphone, concert harp, piano, bass and drums the Tentet create a fascinating musical weave, stretching from poetic intimate fragility to cultivated polyphony, always taking elemental energetic risks, but permanently coupled with the warm ensemble sound of an experienced, mutually trusting and well attuned collective.
